Its second biggest office is located in the heart of Germany&#8217;s&nbsp;highly industrial Ruhr region \u2013 the city of Dorsten, an hour&#8217;s&nbsp;drive short of D\u00fcsseldorf.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"100%\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7bfqkPmVi58\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Although being an important branch office for many years with more than 200 MicroStep cutting machines installed in the area, the Dorsten subsidiary had yet to wait for new, state-of-the-art premises. After several years of planning, preparations and about a&nbsp;year of construction, the wait is now over. The 1,300&nbsp;m\u00b2 training and demonstration center \u2013 or CompetenceCenter Nord as officially called \u2013 opened its doors to more than 300 guests from politics, business and trade in an unprecedented Open Day event on May 19, 2022.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pmsl.sk\/microstep\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/UuI1PA-f102-52423.jpg\" width=\"100%\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The visitors experienced an eventful day filled with technology demonstrations and presentations, taking place in the 800&nbsp;m\u00b2 large showroom and a&nbsp;dedicated training room within the modern 500&nbsp;m\u00b2 office spaces.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pmsl.sk\/microstep\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/uvWsX1-f102-52426.jpg\" width=\"100%\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/><em>Throughout the day, around 300 guests from business, trade and politics observed the latest technologies from MicroStep and its partners<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Today is a&nbsp;very special day for us,&#8221; recognized MicroStep Europa&#8217;s&nbsp;Managing Director Johannes Ried in his welcome speech. &#8220;More than 15 years ago, the decision was made to put the MicroStep flag in North Rhine-Westphalia and open a&nbsp;new location in the north-west of the republic. Here, where the heart of our metalworking industry beats.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>CompetenceCenter Nord offers permanent demonstrations of MicroStep&#8217;s&nbsp;core technologies: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microstep.eu\/machines\/plasma-and-oxyfuel-machines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">plasma<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microstep.eu\/machines\/laser-machines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fiber laser<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microstep.eu\/video\/oxyfuel-bevel-cutting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">oxyfuel<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microstep.eu\/machines\/waterjet-machines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">waterjet<\/a> as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microstep.eu\/references\/a-custom-microstep-machine-doubled-the-productivity-at-ebawe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">drilling<\/a>, tapping and countersinking. Four cutting machines are on display to showcase the versatility of MicroStep solutions. All cutting technologies are available in 2D as well as 3D, including processing of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microstep.eu\/references\/thumbs-up-for-the-new-pipe-cutting-machine-from-microstep\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pipes<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microstep.eu\/references\/processing-time-reduced-from-one-and-a-half-week-to-one-day\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">domes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pmsl.sk\/microstep\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/9NvjHk-f102-52424.jpg\" width=\"100%\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/><em>MicroStep CompetenceCenter Nord showcases a&nbsp;variety of cutting technologies, among them high-precision 3D processing by waterjet<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Among the visitors were many notable guests from business and also politics, such as the Slovak Ambassador in Germany, His Excellency <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/marianjakubocy?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mr. Mari\u00e1n Jakub\u00f3cy<\/a>, or Dorsten&#8217;s&nbsp;Mayor Tobias Stockhoff, who expressed enthusiasm for the project after an on-site tour: \u201cThe new training center fits perfectly into the commercial area built at the former mining location. MicroStep is a&nbsp;highly innovative company. A&nbsp;big compliment for this forward-looking investment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pmsl.sk\/microstep\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Drbtoo-f102-52422.jpg\" width=\"100%\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/><em>The event was visited by His Excellency, Ambassador of Slovakia Mr. Mari\u00e1n Jakub\u00f3cy (third from left), in picture with MicroStep&#8217;s&nbsp;Managing Director Ms. Eva Stejskalov\u00e1 and Managing Directors of MicroStep Europa GmbH <\/em><\/p>\n<p>The program was rounded off by specialized lectures on MicroStep&#8217;s&nbsp;areas of expertise such as bevel cutting \/ weld seam preparation on a&nbsp;wide variety of materials and geometric shapes, drilling solutions, or MicroStep&#8217;s&nbsp;advanced projects in automation &amp; digitalization.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pmsl.sk\/microstep\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/TSpfVM-f102-52427.jpg\" width=\"100%\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It has been a&nbsp;steady growth for MicroStep since its founding by members of the Department of Automation and Regulation at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Slovakia 31 years ago. The appreciation of our technologies by our customers especially from German speaking countries \u2013 one of worlds&#8217; most advanced industrial regions \u2013 gives good justification for MicroStep&#8217;s&nbsp;mission as innovator within the CNC cutting sector.
